Wawsps are hostile flying wasp-like enemies that inhabit the Wawsp Nests.

Appearance

Wawsps are large stinging insects with bulbous bodies, protruding black eyes, a set of mandibles, and a single pair of constantly-beating white wings. Their models are notable for appearing slightly higher-poly than many other Juice Galaxy enemies, although this is likely a factor of the creatures being comparatively small when judged against other creatures.

When hurt, Wawsps emit a high-pitched "oof!" or "ungh!" noise. When slain, they will stop flapping their wings.

Movement

Wawsps are unique among all previously-implemented enemies in that they are capable of true flight, and can pose a significant threat to a low-level player. They are shown to move slowly when in contact with the ground, but prefer to gain height before dive-bombing the player at high speeds. They can maintain this high speed even when sliding (on their face) across the ground.

Trivia

• Their addition was fueled by the calls by the community for "flying enemies," along with Fishlicka's own dislike of the animal that the enemies are inspired by, Wasps.
• The Wawsps will not attack if the player is wearing the Wawsp Queen's Head.
• Wawsps summoned with the Debug Spells will still attack the player even with the Wawsp Queen's head equipped.
