The Spoidah was a passive entity and mount that could be spawned in previous builds of Juice Galaxy by using Juice Manipulation.

(note that in later versions the "Spoidah" now spawns naturally and was renamed to "Cuddlebug")

Appearance

The Spoidah is a black spider-like being with a purplish-red tint. It has eight orbs that resemble eyes on its head, and its legs are segmented by smaller orbs.

Gameplay

If playing in Version 0.1.2, the player can summon a Spoidah at any time by pressing 7, and can mount it by pressing E. It will approach the player and repeatedly attempt to stand behind them until it dies or is mounted. While being ridden, the Spoidah will travel in whatever direction the player is facing.

The Spoidah has a limited amount of health, and it moves quickly. It can also lightly damage other monsters, but not the player.

The Spoidah cannot be damaged by the player, but monsters can still harm it. It has a visible health bar that the player can use to gauge how aggressively they can use their mount. Unlike Signy's Sweet Ride, the player is still vulnerable to damage from enemies while riding the Spoidah.

Trivia

• Its name is a gibberish spoof on "spider".
• In 0.1.2, if the player is on the ground and spawns a Spoidah, it will spawn underground. If the player attempts to mount the Spoidah, the player will die due to being dragged underground at extreme speed. This is presumably a bug.
• As of V0.1.3, the Spoidah can no longer be summoned, but Fishlicka has indicated that it would be re-implemented in some form.
  • The "spiritual successor" to the Spoidah, the cuddlebug, has been implemented as of Version 0.1.12, although the two creatures mostly share a resemblance; the Cuddlebug is, as of now, only a hostile mob, and it cannot be ridden - yet. Again, Fishlicka has teased that the riding functionality may be implemented for the Cuddlebugs in the future.
