Pollywogs are common Monsters that roam the wilderness. They have very low stats, which makes them useful for getting Upgrades in the beginning of the game. The Pollywog is the most common enemy along with the Skelly, being able to spawn even while The Player is inside of the Graveyard. They have been observed to spawn in packs especially when coming out of a broken Crate.

Appearance

Pollywogs are short, bipedal yellow creatures with purple spherical feet. Their bodies are round and plump, and they possess one circular mouth with big red lips.

Movememts

Due to their lack of arms, pollywogs have little to no sense of balance whatsoever, often rolling their heavy bodies against the ground as they walk. Their gait is very dramatic and exaggerated, and they tend to lift one leg very high over their bodies with each stride. Their gait is so inefficient that it's less like walking and more like rolling while doing a split.

Trivia

• The red opening at the front of a pollywog's body is a mouth which, according to Fishlicka, also contains a pair of eyes that are not visible on the in-game model.
• Pollywogs originally debuted in Fishlicka's previous game, Schwing, and play a very similar role in this game. However, the "Pollywogs" that appear in this game have a few notable distinguishing traits from their Juice World successors.
  • In Schwing, the pollywogs were much duller in overall color, and were less shiny.
  • Rather than shouting their iconic "OW!" when hit, they would instead fart noisily. The pitch of their farts varied depending on the amount of damage they received from the player's attack. Because of this, they were often called "fart monsters" by players.
• "Pollywog" is an informal term describing the aquatic larva of amphibians. It is most commonly used for the tadpoles of frogs and toads.
• Pollywogs are one of the only high-poly models in the game, with the other high-poly entity being the Dragin and Wawsp Larva.
• When pollywogs walk they make a pop sound.
