Description/Function[]

Neutral entities are characters or enemies which are initially passive and unless they are provoked. These entities can be provoked by being harmed, disappointed, or simply annoyed by the juiceling. Currently, there are only 3 neutral entities in the game.

Neutral Entities[]

Ingot: Ingot is a giant metal boy and a student of the Juice School, and he appears twice in the game's story. His first and most important appearance is at the beginning of the game, right after the player finishes Mrs. Slitherss's quiz and leaves the only classroom in the Juice School. In this appearance, Ingot functions as a tutorial NPC, teaching the player how to fly, pick up weapons, and fight. The player has to defeat him twice before he falls down and gives up, informing the player of the Juice Door on the far end of the playground.

In his second appearance, he will spawn in the graveyard, now as a fully neutral entity, telling the player about Mrs Slitherss being angry that the player left the Juice School. He will be seen wearing a Rad Baseball Cap. In this state he will stay passive unless he is attacked, in which case the player will take his cap and Ingot will attempt to retaliate.

Mrs. Slitherss: Although she is the main antagonist of the game, Mrs. Slitherss is neutral in her first appearance at the very beginning of the game. During her quiz, she will not outright attack the player under any condition unless she is attacked or the player answers one of the quiz questions incorrectly. However, in her second appearance she will always be hostile. If the player fails at any point during the quiz, Mrs Slitherss will get angry at the player and say "Wrong answer, prepare to die!" and kill the player with her laser eyes. If you jump out the window into the playground before she finishes announcing that your answer was incorrect, she will turn passive again until she is angered again, either by the player getting too close to the Juice Door or by being harmed.

Sgt. Suckerpunch: Normally, the player will always have to fight him, but under certain circumstances he will become neutral, and will even let the player skip his fight. If the juiceling brings a Plunger to his battle arena, the Sgt. will remark on it, and let the juiceling go without fighting him. In this state, he functions the same way as Ingot, only attacking if the player attacks him first.

Trivia[]

  • It is possible- or trivially easy, depending on a player's familiarity with the game- to skip the conversation with Ingot and leave the Juice School without fighting him, as destroying the crates in the schoolyard provides enough Juice to open the Juice Door. This is a basic technique used in speedruns of the game.
  • In very early editions of the game, Mrs. Slitherss would tolerate the player hitting her with the Morningstar, simply hissing in disapproval. This was changed in Version 0.0.6, where she retaliates with eye-lasers.
