Magma

Magma is a surface/mechanic in Juice Galaxy that is reminiscent to real-world molten rock.

When an item or entity touches magma, they are dealt heavy damage and set on fire, and will additionally be repelled from the surface violently. Touching magma can easily lead to death for unfortunate enemies or players - as such, it should be approached with caution.

Trivia[]

Magma is one of the few ways in which the player character can have the Fire debuff applied to themselves - by touching magma, players will be set on fire. Due to the high contact damage of magma, the lingering damage of the fire is relatively trivial.
Signy's Sweet Ride is immune to the contact damage delivered by magma. However, its suspension will still be bounced by direct contact with Magma, which can make driving difficult.
The hopping effect of items or entities that come in contact with Magma has been confirmed by Fishlicka as resulting from "the evaporation of Juice" - in other words, contact with the superheated Magma causes pockets of Juice at the surface of items/entities to vaporize/explode, accelerating them away from the surface.
- This also implies that Juice is present in significant quantities for any item that is observed to bounce off of Magma - or that everything in Juice Galaxy is made of Juice.
