Koalaths are a basic enemy, found throughout the Wilderness. They are notable among enemies for being spawned from destroyed objects, namely Trees.

Appearance

Koalaths are dark blue in color, with a round plump torso, and short stubby arms and legs that end in a ball. Their head has two small pointy ears like Stroll Fiends. They have a constantly open, circular mouth, and their eyes are black with red pupils.

Movement

Koalaths try to walk to the player, but due to their stature, they end up dragging themselves around with their arms. They spend most of their time touching the ground.

Stats

Koalaths are very weak, with the only exception being the large ones in Heck. They can be considered fodder enemies, similar to Pollywogs.

Trivia

• Their name is a portmanteau of "Koala" and "Goliath", referencing their size compared to a normal Koala and that they presumably live in the trees that are destroyed.
• Note how they are seemingly contained behind bars with the other way in being a hole in the ceiling, showing that maybe this is some sort of death pit. They don't get larger from monster level due to the fact they are spawned when a tree is destroyed, the only exceptions to this rule are the ones in Heck.
• For whatever reason, the koalaths can fly (alberit fairly slowly) if the player is out of reach. This might be an intentional feature, although it's likely just a simple glitch caused by the way that koalaths move.
• Koalaths were originally only spawned in the cages in Heck and from destroying trees, and were thus not seen very frequently. They were added to the regular monster spawn pool of the Wilderness around Version 0.1.18.
