"Recess is always so much fuuuunnnnnnnn!!!"

Ingot

Ingot is a reoccurring character, a tutorial boss, and later a neutral entity found throughout Juice Galaxy.

Physical Characteristics[]

Ingothat

Ingot wearing his hat.

Ingot is a large, bulky cannon ball-like humanoid made of what seems to be metal, with a weak neck that flops around when he turns. His head often tilts to the left when he is standing still. When not speaking, his mouth is perpetually agape, giving him a very blank expression. He has two stubby arms with no fingers, and two legs with simple round feet. As of the 0.0.6 update, he can also appear wearing a cool hat after the Creator has been defeated.

Personality[]

He's a playful guy who likes recess and toys.

As with most other characters, not much of his personality is known besides his immaculate swag.

Gameplay[]

He is first met in the Juice School, and requests that the player retrieve a "really neat toy" on top of the roof.

As an Enemy[]

After acquiring said "toy" he asks the player to attack him. He slowly walks towards the player, making loud, metallic thumps as his feet collide with the ground.

When Ingot receives enough damage, he will go into his second phase, where he will become much faster and more aggressive in an attempt to make contact with the player. After receiving even more damage in this phase, Ingot will fall to the ground and be "defeated".

Being the first enemy that the player encounters in the game, Ingot has relatively low stats. The player is able to easily dispatch him in his first phase with only a few swings of the Morningstar, and his second phase can be dealt with easily as well.

In addition to his low health, Ingot has subpar movement speed. More often than not, if Ingot proves to be a threat, the player can simply outpace him by walking or flying away. Even in his second phase, where he is faster, it is still easy to avoid him.

Due to the combination of low health and speed, Ingot functions more as a tutorial for the game's combat rather than a serious threat.

As a NPC[]

Ingot will be found in the far right corner in the Graveyard after the Player returns back from the Creator's Plane. This time, he is wearing a Rad Baseball Cap.

Ingot will attack when the Player provokes him with a weapon. If the Player kills him then he will drop his hat, which can be sucked and equipped to the Player.

Ingot is also, at time of writing, the only NPC who can be allied with as a companion.

Trivia[]

Ingot in the wild

Ingot appears in the wilderness.

  • He may have originally been meant to appear in The Wilderness, judging by this pre-release screenshot. That same video this screenshot comes from also includes a few interesting things, like Heck's castle bridges, an unused barn, and a strange hand coming from the ground with an eye in its palm.
    • As of 0.0.6, Ingot appears in the Graveyard after the Player returns via Juice Portal.
  • Prior to V0.1.3, Ingot will not become aggressive to the Player if a single hit was given. Furthermore, the Rad Baseball Cap can be only unlocked if the Player sucks him up or leave him to disappear.
  • His name comes from the word "ingot", which is a block of metal. This name may have been chosen due to his metallic body texture and metallic footsteps.
  • The sound samples used for his voice are of a party horn blowing.
  • With Juice Manipulation granted, pressing key 7 will summon Ingot since the beta version has been released.
    • However, the summonable Ingots are completely different from the normal, almost-friendly Ingot, and behave almost exactly like the early version of Ingot that was seen in "Welcome to Hell", being naturally aggressive and immediately attacking the Player. They are also much, much smaller than normal.
    • Ingots voice was used by a weird hand creature
