Flight is one of the standard abilities in Juice Galaxy.
Description[]
It, unsurprisingly, permits the player to hover in place and fly in any direction - a feat achieved by holding the jump button while in mid-air. (A typical method for commencing flight from a standing position will be by tapping and then holding the Space bar. The first press renders the player airborne via jumping, and the second engages flight once in midair.) Pressing any direction key will move the player through the air in accordance to where the direction is pointing relative to the facing of the camera.
Flying is crucial to a full experience of the game; the game's tutorial is rendered unbeatable (or, at the very least, painfully difficult) without its usage. It is also mandatory for the exploration of several locations in the Wilderness, as well as granting safe traversal through the game's dangerous dungeon-like areas. Flight is also a far swifter movement option than walking, making it useful for combat or when venturing into high Monster Levels.
However, flight is also an ability that is very energy-intensive, and during the early game it will not be possible to sustain flight for more than a few seconds at a time. Improving one's energy-related statistics- such as maximum energy capacity and energy regeneration- is necessary in order to render flight a sustainable mode of transportation.
Flight is also one of the stats that can be upgraded at the Juice Fountain. It is one of the more expensive skills to upgrade fully, and as such fully-upgrading it is typically reserved for players that have already explored some of the game's more hostile and juice-rich areas (such as the Evil Caves or the Toilet Realm).
