The Koaladog, which has been lit on fire.

Fire is a mechanic added in V0.1.7 of Juice Galaxy.

Fire is a "status effect" that can be applied to enemies by certain weapons. Like in most video games, fire in Juice Galaxy deals damage over time to enemies, slowly draining their health until the fire extinguishes itself or they are killed. When an enemy is on fire, flame particles emanate from them, colored red, orange and yellow. Currently, the only way to set enemies ablaze is to hit them with a Flamberge, a FrizzX, or by using any weapon that can trigger explosions.

Tips[]

  • Fire is stackable, meaning you can inflict an enemy with more than one instance of it. The more fire you stack, the more damage it will drain over time. The Flamberge will apply extra fire stacks based on how hard the hit was that applied them, whereas the FrizzX will apply extra fire stacks based on how long the enemy is caught in the spray.
  • As of V0.1.10, a fire effect can also be applied by explosions.
  • The amount of damage fire deals is based on your Damage stat. If you're looking to boost how much damage your fire will do, make sure to invest Juice towards Damage in the Juice Fountain and use items that increase it further via stat mods.
  • Fire can be applied to any entities that have a health bar, except for The Player and a certain boss. Fire can also be applied to the Koaladog, although it will not take any damage.

Trivia[]

  • Fishlicka has expressed interest in fire changing color based on how much damage it will deal in the Juice Galaxy Discord.
  • Fishlicka has also said he intends to make inflicting fire a weapon mod, meaning it would be available on every weapon.
  • Despite looking extremely similar, the Flamberge's fire trail particles and the fire particles shown on enemies are different. The flamberge's particles are cylindrical compared to the flame shape on enemies' fire.
  • Currently, the Wawsp Queen is the only boss that can actively trigger a fire debuff to the Player.
  • The water present in the Toilet realm does not extinguish enemies or disable fire-based weapons as of Version 0.1.7. Fishlicka has stated that he may change this in future versions.
