The Dream-Eater is a boss in Juice Galaxy, encountered after defeating Mrs. Slitherss, and transporting to the Dream World through the evil cabin's bed.
Appearance[]
The Dream-Eater is a fairly large flying monster with black skin, lanky clawed arms, a torso ending in a stubbed belly, and a white face resembling an imp mask or a skeletal demon. It has red horns and yellow piercing eyes. When talking, its mouth opens, though its lips make no movement.
When close to the ground, it appears to move by grabbing the floor and pulling itself, though that may be due to its AI becoming confused by the strange gravity of the dream world.
Attacks and Stats[]
The Dream-Eater has three attacks: chasing the player down directly (which is very dangerous, as it has a very long reach), rising in the air to perform a lunge attack, and shooting fireball-like projectiles at The Player, which explode on impact. The third attack listed was added in the 0.2.11 update.
Trivia[]
- Its appearance is very similar to Batty's, and as it feeds off dreams, it could possibly be a sub-species of vampire.
- Its face looks very similar to an imp mask, though this could be a coincidence.
- In the game's files, he's called "Incubus" instead of Dream Eater, this could just be a code name for him.
- It bears a slight resemblance to an older and likely scrapped monster, albeit skeletal and demonic. This may be trying to imply that the scrapped monster "died" and became the Dream-Eater.
- This has been debunked, as the scrapped enemy later became the Squibard.
- Fishlicka describes the Dream-Eater as "A demon that causes nightmares and feeds on trauma".
- When it is chasing the player, it is difficult for the player to move. This may represent paralysis, either in the form of sleep paralysis or paralysis due to fear.
- The Dream-Eater's ability to fly makes it formidable and tricky to tackle. Coincided with its very long reach, making it a very threatening boss. However often its digits will get stuck in the cabin that Mr. Fox lives in, meaning it is possible to cheese the battle. (Although, this has since been fixed, as a phantom-like version of the Dream Eater will attack you if you try to hide)
