The compass
The Compass is a mechanic and UI element in Juice Galaxy that, true to its name, serves to help the player from getting lost.
Gameplay[]
The compass appears in the top right of the screen, with two arrows. One is longer, with a green head, and always points towards the location of the Graveyard. The other will have a skull icon, and it will point towards the location of the Evil Cabin or the nearest Barn, depending on whichever is closer. If a player is stranded out in a high Monster Level and would wish to return to the Graveyard, following the Skull arrow towards the closest barn is guaranteed to lead to a Juice Portal, enabling fast-travel back to the center of the world.
Trivia[]
- Until Version 0.1.8, the compass only pointed the player towards The Evil Cabin and the Graveyard. With the introduction of Barns as areas of interest in the Wilderness, the compass was altered so that the skull arrow will also point in the direction of the nearest barn once the player strays far enough from the world's center.
- It is likely, though unconfirmed, that the compass will receive additional functionality in future updates, as there will be more areas of interest scattered throughout the Wilderness.
