The Vampire Bat, also known as Batty, is a creature that spawns after certain conditions are met.

Appearance

Batty, as his name implies, is a giant, purple vampire bat. He has a big red nose, fangs, two large pointy curved ears, and demonic red eyes. He has a plump round body with no legs, and two skeletal wings without any patagium

Gameplay

After drinking the bottle of Good Juice in the Graveyard, or reaching 1690 Juice, Batty will spawn near the player and remark on their Juice level, after which he will fly in pursuit of them. He flies around the Player and keeps his distance, but the camera is fixed on him.

After finishing his dialogue he will proceed to suck The Player into his mouth, almost draining all of the Juice out of them before spitting them back onto the ground. The Player doesn't receive any damage from getting sucked, but is turned into a vampire instead. The Player is also given the ability to suck juice out of defeated monsters by pressing "Q" near them.

After that, Batty flies away and is not seen again.

(Ignore) This event is scripted, but can be avoided by not drinking the bottle of Good Juice in the Graveyard, flying very far out after drinking the Good Juice and then dying by something else, and by going to Creator's Plane. Once leaving Creator's Plane the player becomes a vampire, entirely skipping the cutscene.

As of 0.1.18, Batty is summoned when the player has at least 1690 Juice, and is in or close to the Graveyard. The event can trigger an endless amount of times if the player uses console commands to remove their vampirism.

Batty is completely Invulnerable to all forms of damage, however the game will still register you as hitting an enemy, meaning Batty will receive knockback and be able to arc electricity.

Trivia

• Batty is one of eight characters to have an actual voice, alongside Mrs. Slitherss, the Creator, Dream Eater, Koaladog, Sgt. Suckerpunch, The Clog, Toeny, and Swirly D.
  • Batty is voiced by Fishlicka, the creator of the game.
• Despite being immortal, Batty has a hitbox and can be interacted with by weapons with high knockback.
• A tactic for not losing your juice when Batty shows up is reaching a fountain and spending all your juice on upgrades. That way the juice won't be sucked by Batty and he will spit you out much quicker since The Player has significantly less juice then they would have had.
• It is also possible to despawn Batty before being sucked by quickly flying up to the Planetoids or entering the trapdoor in The Evil Cabin.
• If you chase Batty long enough after he leaves, he despawns.
• Prior to V0.1.0, if the Player collects at least 300 JP from the Juice School and is in proximity of the Graveyard, Batty will spawn. As of V0.1.0, Batty will spawn after the Player drinks the bottle of Good Juice, regardless of JP. If the player has already visited Creator's Plane Batty will never spawn.
• Batty used to be able to give juice from being hit, this combined with him being invincible would provide the player with an unlimited amount of juice until he despawns. However as of V0.1.6, this no longer occurs.
• From the game's first release, Batty's voice is lacking effects. On V0.1.1, his voice is edited in order to make him sound mildly scary. This was reverted on V0.1.3.

• "Ooooooh, you smell good! Oooh hoo hoo! Get over here!"

[The Player gets sucked into his mouth with great force, while Batty continues licking and sucking them loudly]

[After spitting the Player out]

• "Mmmmm! That's some good juice you got there. Ooh hooo!"
• "Okay, uhh...you're a vampire now."
• "...Al... Alright... I'm gonna go... Sleep an' stuff..."
• "...Hmm... Bye-bye, goodbye!"

[After that he turns around and flies away, humming.]
