Automobiles are Monsters that used to spawn occasionally in the Wilderness. Compared to other regular monsters of the same size, they have a lot of health and are quite fast, however this is offset by the fact that they cannot get bigger as the Monster Level increases. Automobiles spawned once the Player reaches a Monster Level of 10, though their spawn rates are relatively infrequent.

As of Version 0.1.8, Automobiles do not spawn naturally. However, based on Fishlicka's wording of the version's patch notes they are planned to be re-implemented in the future. It can still be spawned in using spells.

Appearance

Automobiles are purple entities resembling a car. It is fully opaque and has no windows.

Behavior

When an Automobile spawns, the Player will hear a low-pitched motor sound, which gradually gets louder as the Automobile gets closer. When preparing for an attack, an automobile will rapidly accelerate and attempt to collide with the Player. Automobiles are much faster than other enemies at the monster level where they first appear, and can easily catch up with a player traveling on foot.

Trivia

• Prior to version 0.0.9, Automobiles reused the player damage sound effect for the sounds of their engines. Currently, they use actual car engine noises.
• They have a chance to make a honking sound when damaged or touched.
• According to Fishlicka, the reason for the temporary removal of Automobiles in V0.1.8 was due to a quirk with the tire friction system, which caused the motion of nearby Automobiles to interfere with that of Signy's Sweet Ride.
• Fishlicka is planning on changing the automobile's model, as he said in one of his videos
